• Northern Health Allied Health (AH) education partners with allied health teams (from twelve disciplines) to support the development and delivery of high-quality evidence and needs-based professional training.
  • The AH education content is responsive to the changing needs and priorities of our allied health workforce. The education calendar is informed by the results of our annual staff training needs survey.
  • Our workforce education program promotes an interprofessional approach to learning and working. The program is delivered via face-to-face workshops designed to support workplace integrated learning in areas including:

    • Clinical supervisor skills for staff and students e.g., Practicing effective point of care supervision, Supporting student wellbeing
    • Transdisciplinary clinical skills e.g., Motivational Interviewing
    • Evidence-based practice & quality improvement skills e.g., Getting started in AH quality improvement projects
    • Educating our AH clinical educators e.g., Clinical teaching skills
  • Our AH workforce education resources also include access to AH learning hubs e.g., AH Careers Learning hubs. Staff can access these self-directed learning resources via the NH LMS.
