What is the Service?
At Northern Health we provide our community with comprehensive cancer care with expertise from a range of specialties and services.
Cancer Services is comprised of the following Departments:
- Medical Oncology
- Haematology
- Palliative Care
- Radiation Oncology (provided by Genesis Care)
What can I expect from the service?
We provide:
- In-patient care with a 16 bed Haematology/Oncology ward and 16 bed Palliative Care ward.
- Oncology and Medical Day Unit (located at The Northern Hospital) and includes our Symptom Urgent Review Clinic (SURC)
- Northern Oncology and Haematology at Home (NOAH@Home) service, provides a service for treatments and chemotherapy to be delivered at home.
- Northern Health Infusion Centre (located at Epping Private)
- Specialist Outpatient Clinics
- Cancer Clinical Trials
- Specialist nurses including Cancer Nurse Care Coordinators, Nurse Practitioners & Breast Care Nurses
We are a partner of the North Eastern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (NEMICS).
