DVA Liaison Office
DVA (Veteran) Liaison
Northern Health has an ongoing commitment to the care of veterans and war widows and as part of this commitment provides a Veteran Liaison Service at Bundoora Extended Care Centre (BECC). We are proud to offer ex-servicemen and women and war widows the best possible care and high quality services. BECC is committed to continual service improvement and has been established for over 30 years providing specialist health and welfare services to the veteran and wider community.
BECC is one of the five campuses of Northern Health, located in the suburb of Bundoora. We are a centre for the promotion of health independence providing rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation and management, sub-acute medical care, ambulatory care, residential care and a wide range of community based services.
Role of DVA Liaison Officer
BECC has a dedicated Veterans Liaison Officer who is on hand to assist veterans, war widows and their families with any issues related to their care during their in-patient stay and ensuring that clients are able to access their entitlements under the DVA scheme.
NH hold a large Anzac Day Service and invites local RSL members, Dept. of Veteran Affairs, Anzac House, Legacy and State and local Members of Parliament representatives to continue a fostering relationship for our veterans.
We also have Veteran displays throughout NH campuses on significant commemoration days.
DVA Liaison Officer, Grainne Ioannides, can be contacted on 9495 3289 and is on site Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
