Northern Health is one of the busiest health services in Victoria and is a major service provider of acute and subacute specialist health services in the north of metropolitan Melbourne. Our campuses include Broadmeadows Health Service, Bundoora Extended Care Centre, Craigieburn Health Service, Panch Health Service and The Northern Hospital.

Across Northern Health, every week, on average:

  • 1600+ patients are treated in our Emergency Department, including 352 paediatric presentations and 458 ambulance arrivals.

  • 3940 outpatient appointments are provided across our campuses.

  • 69 new babies are born and a record breaking 3607 babies born at The Northern Hospital over the past 12 months.

  • We perform over 120 emergency operations and more than 306 elective procedures.

  • We help people born in more than 130 different countries and our Transcultural & Language Services (TALS) department provides assistance to more than 1000 patients for whom English is not their first language
