Northern Health is one of the busiest health services in Victoria and is a major service provider of acute and subacute specialist health services in the north of metropolitan Melbourne. Our campuses include Broadmeadows Health Service, Bundoora Extended Care Centre, Craigieburn Health Service, Panch Health Service and The Northern Hospital.

Across Northern Health, every week, on average:

  • 1500 patients are treated in our Emergency Department, including 284 paediatric presentations and 420 ambulance arrivals.

  • 3900 outpatient appointments are provided across our campuses.

  • 66 new babies are born and a record breaking 3420 babies born at The Northern Hospital over the past 12 months.

  • We perform almost 115 emergency operations and more than 278 elective procedures.

  • We help people born in more than 130 different countries and our in-house interpreting services provide assistance to more than 750 patients for whom English is not their first language.
