Victorian Centre for Virtual Health Research (VVHR)

The Victorian Centre for Virtual Health Research (VVHR) has been established by Northern Health to develop, evaluate and scale innovative virtual models of care across Victoria.

We have several key focuses:

Model Evaluation

Examining the safety, efficacy, efficiency and acceptability of virtual care models from the perspective of funders, end users and those delivering care.

Equity in Access

Improving access, safety and equity for people who face barriers to traditional healthcare, including older adults and those with complex needs.

Clinician Support

Investigating the acceptability of virtual care for clinicians and identifying the training and support needed for effective delivery.

Co-design Approach

Embedding co-design with consumers, clinicians and system partners to ensure virtual care models are relevant, acceptable and sustainable.

The VVHR aligns with the Victorian Virtual Care Strategy and provides evidence to inform service planning, policy and workforce development.
