On Mother’s Day, Northern Health’s Private Practice Midwives Program in collaboration with My Midwives achieved the milestone of delivering its 100th baby.
Epping resident Jenny Pham gave birth to baby Brian on the special day at Northern Hospital Epping with the assistance of midwife Andrea Quanchi.
Beginning with a partnership between Northern Health and My Midwives in 2016, the program provides women and families access to a private midwife with continuity of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care.
The program was recognised at the 2017 Public Healthcare awards, winning the award for Excellence in women’s health, and continues to make strides by positively impacting the lives and experiences of mothers, mothers-to-be and their families in the northern community.
