Family and friends are very welcome to visit patients being treated at the various campuses of Northern Health.
However to ensure that these visits don’t interrupt your care or the care of patients around you visiting hours have been established. These hours vary across the different campuses.

Bundoora Extended Care Centre
Monday – Friday: 10am – 8pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 2pm – 8pm

Broadmeadows Health Service
Seven days a week: 2pm – 8pm (unless otherwise approved)

Craigieburn Health Service
There are no overnight services at Craigieburn Health Service.

The Northern Hospital
Seven days a week: 2pm – 8pm
Arrangements need to be made with nursing staff for visits outside of these hours.

Children’s Unit – Parents/guardians are welcome to visit their child in the Children’s Unit at any time. One parent/guardian may stay overnight if they wish.  For visitors 2pm-8pm

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) -   Preferred visiting hours are 2pm-8pm. Please ask the staff if you wish to visit at other times. There is no visiting between 8am-11am and 4pm-5pm.  For the safety and comfort of your loved one, we allow only two visitors at a time. We recommend that only close family visit.  For more information

Maternity Unit – We request that friends and family respect the visiting hours 8.00am-1.00pm and 2.00pm-8.00pm
Visiting hours for parents and partners are extended to 9pm each night in the Maternity Unit
