Transport Accident Commission (TAC) Claim

If your attendance or admission at Northern Health relates to a transport accident  your admission requires a lodgment claim. This process is simple for patients at Northern Health.

To lodge your claim  call TAC on 1300 654 329.  They will provide you with a pre-claim number.  This is your unique number that helps identify your claim with the TAC

While TAC aims to deliver your entitlements as quickly and efficiently as possible, this relies on you providing all relevant information quickly, to assist with processing your claim in a timely manner. Once you have an approved TAC claim, all associated accounts will be forwarded to TAC on your behalf. The TAC will pay for medical treatment and other services that you need as a result of your injuries from a transport accident.

Failure to lodge a TAC claim may result in these accounts involving any medical costs being forwarded to you for payment

WorkCover Claim

If your attendance or admission at Northern Health relates to a work place injury you are required to ensure that a claim is made through Workcover by your employer. 

In order for all associated accounts to be paid relating to your workplace injury you will be asked to provide your employer contact details.

In the event that the accounts are not settled by your employer, associated accounts will be forwarded to you for follow up or payment.
