What to bring to an appointment
What to bring to your appointment: On the day of your appointment please bring:
• Medicare card if eligible. If not eligible please click here (link to page)
• any reports or x-rays that are relevant to this visit
• an updated referral from your doctor, if this is requested by Northern Health (see below).
Many of the Northern Health clinics are funded via the Medicare Benefits Scheme. Medicare requires a new/updated referral, from a GP, to be provided at regular intervals. Medicare will not pay for the service if the referral has expired. Therefore, failure to comply with the request for an updated referral may result in you being refused service or charged for the appointment.
