Northern Health’s Comprehensive Cancer Care services work together with our community to provide cancer care. In partnership with the radiation oncologists at GenesisCare we provide patient centered, culturally appropriate and supportive cancer care for patients, their carers and families with appointments available at Epping Medical Centre.
GenesisCare, Epping offers personalised cancer care services including radiation therapy to the local community. We have provided radiotherapy treatment to Northern Hospital patients since 2009.
Our Epping team is dedicated to offering evidence-based cancer care services delivered in a multidisciplinary environment. GenesisCare radiation oncologists attend all cancer multi-discplinary meetings at Northern Health to provide radiotherapy opinions when making decisions on cancer treatment. We strive to provide rapid access to consultation and treatment.
GenesisCare Epping has two treatment machines (linear accelerator) and can offer all advanced treatments including intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR). Patient care is managed by a team of passionate healthcare professionals with experience in oncology including: radiation oncologists, registered nurses, radiation therapists, physicists, and a dedicated team of support staff.
