Dietitians at Northern Health work across paediatrics, acute care, aged care, rehabilitation, residential care, outpatients and community (in home) services. They support consumers across all stages of life from our neonatal unit though to residential aged and palliative care services.

What to expect from the service?
Dietitians at Northern Health are eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia and participate in continuous professional development to maintain Accredited Practising Dietitian status.
Dietitians work with medical, nursing and allied health staff as part of the multidisciplinary care team. They provide nutrition assessment and evidence-based individualised intervention that supports treatment, recovery and rehabilitation.
Dietitians work with clients to develop practical, achievable dietary solutions tailored to individual eating habits and lifestyles to assist in preventing, managing, and treating a range of medical conditions. They work across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
