Allied Health

The Allied Health Research team aims to support clinicians with an interest in research or a burning question, expand pathways to integrate research into practice, build upon a research skillset amongst clinicians in areas such as data collection, survey design and analysis as well as raise awareness of allied health research within Northern Health and beyond.

The Allied Health Research team comprises of the Professor of Allied Health, Allied Health Research Lead, Senior Allied Health Research Officer and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow amongst other researchers, each in partnership with La Trobe University.

  • Support regarding study design and developing research projects with a clinical question
  • Assistance with ethics submissions
  • Data appraisal, analysis and evaluation (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Grant submissions
  • Advice regarding career pathways and opportunities
  • Delivery of staff in-training and workshops annually
  • Stepping into Research program
  • CARE fellowship

  • Platform to raise awareness projects, presentations and other relevant information via quarterly allied health research newsletter

Allied Health Research Clinic

The clinic is available to allied health clinicians to book an appointment and seek research advice/plan their research project and ideas. Two experienced allied health researchers or more are generally present to assist with your research project design or question.
