As part of Northern Healthโs Project SEARCH program, ten interns are gaining hands-on workplace experience across a range of departments, building their skills and confidence as they prepare for future employment.
This week, we’re getting to know a second intern, Aadi, who is completing his placement with the Supply team.
Positive, curious and eager to learn, Aadi is looking forward to gaining practical experience, exploring different areas of work and developing skills that will support him in achieving his future career goals.

Q: What made you want to join Project SEARCH?
A: I joined Project SEARCH because I wanted to build on my existing skills and gain valuable workplace experience that could help me find long-term employment.

Q: What are you hoping to learn during your placement?
A: Iโm keen to learn as much as possible and develop a broad range of workplace skills. I would like to gain experience in areas such as stock management, administration and other operational tasks.
I also want to better understand how a hospital functions and how the skills I develop here could be applied in future roles.
Q: What are you enjoying most about your placement so far?
A: Iโm enjoying the opportunity to meet new people, learn from the staff around me and experience what it is like to work in a hospital environment.
I like that every task gives me a chance to learn something new, build my confidence and contribute to the team.
Q: How do you think Project SEARCH will help you in the future?
A: I think Project SEARCH will help me become more confident and prepared for future employment. It is giving me the opportunity to develop practical skills, experience different types of work and gain a better understanding of what employers expect in the workplace.
