What to expect from the service?
On referral to our service as an outpatient you will receive an appointment in a timeframe in keeping with the urgency of your condition. At your outpatient appointment you will be seen by one of our Infectious Diseases specialists who will perform a medical assessment, review and organise investigations and formulate a management plan for you. They will give you detailed advice about your health and prescribe medications if needed. Information about your health will be communicated back to your referring doctor unless your request otherwise.
Interpreters are available in most languages at Northern Health; we will do our best to ensure an interpreter is available for your appointment
