Joined by the local members for Thomastown, Broadmeadows, Mill Park, Yan Yean, and Bundoora, they officially turned the sod to kick off stage two Early Works of the Northern Hospital Epping Tower with Northern Health Board Chair Jennifer Williams AM and Jane Poxon, Acting Chief Executive, Northern Health.

The construction follows last year’s State Budget announcement of a $162.7m investment in the north.

“Today we are breaking ground and getting on with building a bigger and better hospital for families in Melbourne’s outer north,” said the Hon. Jill Hennessy MP.

Member for Mill Park, Lily D’Ambrosio said “This project is vital for our community: it will boost our access to healthcare, create jobs and revitalise our local economy – it’s a win, win win!”
