“This funding will assist Northern Health in establishing a world class Academic & Research Precinct to train future health professionals such as doctors, nurses and allied health staff.”
“The facility will help Northern Health to attract and retain the best clinical staff, improving access for patients to quality healthcare in Melbourne’s growing northern suburbs,” he said. “Both La Trobe University and The University of Melbourne have committed $7.2 million each to the project whilst the State Government has already contributed $3 million towards the planning and development – meaning a total of $31.4 million has been pledged.”
