Hospital House Becomes a Home for Lucky Family
Almost $400 000 was raised for The Northern Hospital at an auction in Epping North last weekend.
Northern Health’s Director of Communications and Marketing, Dean Felton, said Saturday's House and Land Charity Auction at Aurora (Epping North) fetched $392,500 for the Hospital – all of which will go directly towards improving patient care.
“This is a magnificent result for The Northern Hospital and our patients,” Mr Felton said.
“I would like to thank our sponsors VicUrban, Orbit Homes and their suppliers as well as the Carlton Football Club and Stockdale & Leggo Epping for their terrific support.”
“Every dollar raised will go towards the purchase of equipment to further improve the care our patients receive at The Northern Hospital.”
“Thank you to everyone who played a part in achieving this great outcome.”
Sunny skies and some spirited bidding greeted the crowd of around 200 who attended the auction.

“There was genuine community interest in the auction on the weekend and this showed through the healthy crowd who attended the day,” Mr Felton said.
“The brand new four bedroom house was sold without reserve and will no doubt make a fantastic home for the family who were lucky enough to purchase it on Saturday.”
“The population growth in Melbourne’s northern suburbs means that more and more people will be relying on The Northern Hospital for their healthcare in the coming years,” he said.
“This fantastic boost for the Hospital will make a significant difference to the health of our community.” |
