Fundraising at Broadmeadows Health Service
The 'Old Blokes' Shed' and Backyard Promenade was completed using funds raised for and by, and donated to, Broadmeadows Health Service.
The Shed provides a place for elderly male patients to interact with each other and pursue meaningful activities.
Our dedicated staff are very sensitive to the needs of older patients, and devised this innovative project as a way to encourage male patients to take part in activities outside of therapy. We take pride in the fact that by improving the quality of life of our older patients, we provide significant benefit to our community as a whole.
Should you wish to make a donation towards worthy projects like this, please make your cheque / money order payable to Broadmeadows Health Service and forward with your personal details (optional) to us at 35 Johnstone Street, Broadmeadows Vic 3047.

The Broadmeadows Health Service Endowment Program
How your donation counts...... Your health and well-being is our imperative. Should you require the services of Broadmeadows Health Service (BHS), we want to provide you with the very best care available. As financial support for hospitals becomes more difficult to attract, hospital endowment programs are a vital factor in contributing to the provision of important services. With your help, we will not only sustain, but continue to improve the service and care we offer you.
The BHS Endowment Program raises essential funds for:
- improving ward facilities
- the very latest medical technology
- improving equipment to ensure patient comfort
- creating opportunities for staff training
- major research projects, and
- providing the necessary outreach programs and community services.
Memorial Gift Fund Many families have found great satisfaction in establishing a Memorial Fund to honour the memory of a loved one. Personalised Memorial Gift Fund forms and envelopes are made available to the family for distribution. The fund is given the name of the deceased, and donations may be made at the funeral, in lieu of flowers.
"Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community" - Anthony J. D'Angelo
