The "One Step Ahead" program in action

'One Step Ahead' is an 8-week program involving structured exercise classes, foot screening program and diabetes education sessions from a podiatrist, dietitian, diabetes nurse educator and a physiotherapist (exercise).

The final 2 weeks are conducted at the local Leisure Centre to encourage ongoing exercise.

Diabetes Education Team

What do we do?

We accept both self and health practitioner referrals. We provide individual and group education to assist in diabetes self management.

We provide links to other health services and community resources. We provide both telephone advice/ support. An interpreter service is readily available All enquiries should be directed to the Diabetes Education team on (03) 8345 5322.
