Day Medical Unit

The Day Medical Unit at Craigieburn Health Service operates three days per week for people requiring a day stay   medical procedure. 

This assists in reducing waiting lists at The Northern Hospital, whilst providing a quality service for patients living locally and north of Craigieburn.

The unit is staffed by an Associate Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse Division 1 and a personal services attendant, with facilities to treat 8 patients each day. Day Medical Unit provides the following services:

• Blood transfusions (2 units or less)
• Intravenous infusions (Intragam, Infliximab, Iron etc.)
• Venesection
• Trial of void
