Craigieburn Health Service Community Participation Advisory Committee

chs cpacCraigieburn Health Service (CHS) provides a wide range of specialist health and allied health services to people living in Craigieburn and surrounding areas. In order for CHS to provide high quality care that meets clients’ needs, a Community Participation Advisory Group has been established.  This group provides advice on the community’s views about the services provided by CHS.

Committee members are encouraged from a wide variety of backgrounds, which enables CHS to hear the various views and needs of the diverse community.

Committee members may include CHS clients; family members, carers or friends of clients; people from community groups and networks; people from consumer advocacy groups; people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities; and people interested in the health and welfare of the local community.

Appointment:

Successful applicants are appointed, as individuals, with the capacity to reflect community issues and views relevant to the service provided by Craigieburn Health Service. (Please note that under Department of Human Services Guidelines, registered health practitioners and people currently employed or engaged in the provision of health services are ineligible for membership of the Committee)

Committee members meet on a voluntary basis 6 – 8 times per year.  Meetings will usually be held at Craigieburn Health Service.  Appointments to the Committee are for a period of up to 3 years.
