Broadmeadows Health Service (BHS) opened in October 1998, offering people throughout Melbourne's northwest a wide range of services, all under the one roof.

BHS is based on a unique model of care that refocusses health service provision from the interests of providers towards the underlying principle of "clients and patients first".

The type of services provided, the design of the building, and the staff working within the service, all take into account the specific health, demographic and diverse cultural needs of the surrounding community, to create a seamless journey for patients across primary, specialist and follow-up care.

To assist in the provision of a "one stop" health service, we are fortunate to have a number of partner organisations at BHS. These include: Broadmeadows Dialysis Unit, a satellite unit of the North West Dialysis Service Dianella Community Health Melbourne Optometry Clinic Monash IVF North West Melbourne Division of General Practice Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Broadmeadows Eye & Ear Specialists The Department of General Practice (Northern), a satellite of the Department of General Practice, The University of Melbourne. The Women's Community Links at Broadmeadows Children's Adult and Aged Person's Mental Health Services are also located at BHS.

The philosophy of the community's wellbeing as a positive orientation towards health promotion and illness prevention underpins the health service.
