Minor Injury & Illness Clinic

Need medical attention but don't need to go to hospital?  Concerned about the possible waiting time at your Emergency Department?

The Minor Injury & Illness Clinic at Craigieburn Health Service is available five days a week from 8.30am to 6pm.  The Clinic is staffed by a doctor, a nurse practitioner candidate, a clinical nurse specialist and a physiotherapist.

The Clinic provides urgent care for a wide range of minor conditions, including general ill health, sprains, strains, simple fractures and cuts that require suturing.  Patients receive an initial consultation, then  referred back to their own GP for follow-up.

No referral or appointment is required, and there is no cost to you.

The MIIC is a Northern Health service, with links to all other Northern Health services provided at The Northern Hospital, Broadmeadows Health Service, Bundoora Extended Care Centre, and Panch Health Service.  The MIIC is also supported by on-site pharmacy, pathology and radiology services.

Read more details about the MIIC here.

The radiology service operates Monday to Friday 2pm until 5pm.  Hours will be extended in the near future.
