Our Ties to the Community
Part of Northern Health's charter is to acknowledge and be responsive to the communities it serves.
This means being a part of the community, and establishing and strengthening links with other community organisations.
This is done through arranging tours of our campuses for cultural groups, facilitating educational seminars and thinktanks for healthcare bodies, and ensuring Northern Health's message is heard widely.
Another way we accomplish this is by actively and regularly engaging with members of the community by way of Community Advisory Committees.
The Northern Health Community Advisory Committee meets bi-monthly, and advises the Board on strategies to enhance and promote consumer and community participation at all levels within the health service.
