About Northern Health

Established in July 2000, Northern Health  provides quality health care services to the expanding communities in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

In one of Melbourne's busiest growth corridors, Northern Health offers the community health care services where they are needed - close to where people live.

Northern Health's campuses - Broadmeadows Health Service, The Northern Hospital, Bundoora Extended Care Centre, Craigieburn Health Service, and Panch Health Service - provide a unique mix of services including medical, surgical, emergency, intensive and coronary care, paediatrics, women's and maternal health, mental health, aged care, palliative care, and rehabilitation programs. These are provided through inpatient, ambulatory and community-based programs.

Supported by the Northern Health Board and the Community Advisory Committee, Northern Health's commitment to community participation is evident throughout the health service. Melbourne's north is culturally diverse, so stakeholder involvement is crucial to learning more about specific cultural sensitivities, and how we can accommodate these through our everyday practices.

This section provides information about our mission and values, the Northern Health board and the organisations and people who support our services through sponsorship or the donation of their time, knowledge and skills. It also provides detailed information about the five Northern Health campuses. Select an item from our left hand menu to find out more.
