The intention of Standard 13 is to ensure that the organisation recruits and manages its workforce in a manner that supports the delivery of high quality and safe health care. Workforce planning needs to consider changing environmental and social factors which will impact on the availability and needs of the workforce to ensure that the organisation's current and future workforce needs will be met.
