Northern Health Chronic Wound Services

Northern Health has chronic wound clinics to meet the demands of people living with  complex wounds.  The wound services provide advice, treatment, education and support to  patients in the community.   

Nursing home and private home visits can be arranged from BHS and BECC for short term advice and treatment.

The service aims to provide a holistic assessment of the client provided by a multidisciplinary team of Medical Consultant, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Podiatrist.   Dietician service available upon request.

The service will provide comprehensive assessment of clients with chronic wounds and is able to review clients periodically.  In between visits, the client will receive care for their wound from RDNS, GP or other community services.  Education and preventative stragegies are discussed and implemented.
