Broadmeadows Health Service

Locations » Broadmeadows Health Service

Broadmeadows Hospital has undergone significant transformation in 2017, with the addition of a second acute medical ward; the hospital provides a wide range of services to the community.

Our services include medical care with direct admissions from the Emergency Department in Epping and from Residential Aged Care Facilities, enhanced surgical care with same day and overnight surgery for patients requiring general surgery, orthopedic, urology, ophthalmology and women's health. Patients who need rehabilitation to get them back to their best can access both fast stream (rehab) and slow stream (GEM) care at Broadmeadows.

The recent $17.3 Million upgrade of the surgical Centre has allowed for expansion of surgical procedures resulting in more patients having access to surgery closer to home. The expansion of the pharmacy and radiology services supports the increased activity at the site.

Service available on site include hydrotherapy, specialist outpatients such as renal, medical, surgical, women's health, chronic pain, ophthalmology, liver, gastroenterology and obstetrics. A range of Allied Health Services are also offered such as physiotherapy, occupation therapy, nutrition, social work, speech pathology, diabetes management and podiatry.

In October 1998, the site was opened as Broadmeadows Health Service with a focus on sub- acute services, Palliative Care, Rehabilitation and GEM.
