GP Liaison Unit

Linking Northern Health with General Practice

Northern Health has an established GP Liaison Unit, which, through strategic and operational development aims to improve the interface between Northern Health and local General Practitioners and the broader primary health care sector.

Staffed by a Unit Manager, a GP Liaison Consultant, Project Officers and an Administration Officer, the Unit routinely works with the local Division of General Practice, is co-ordinated through a State-wide Co-ordination Service located at General Practice Victoria (GPV), and is funded by Department of Health (DoH).
