FAQ
When are Northern Health's visiting hours?

Family and friends are very welcome to visit patients being treated at the various campuses of Northern Health.

However to ensure these visits don’t interrupt the care of your loved one and the other patients around them visiting hours have been established. These hours vary across the different campuses and we would ask that you respect them for the sake of all of our patients.

Bundoora Extended Care Centre

Monday – Friday: 10am – 8pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 2pm – 8pm

Broadmeadows Health Service

Seven days a week: 2pm – 8pm (unless otherwise approved)

Because there are no inpatients at Panch Health Service and Craigieburn Health Service there are no visiting hours at these campuses. Both facilities are open Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm.

The Northern Hospital

Seven days a week: 2pm – 8pm
Arrangements need to be made with nursing staff for visits outside of these hours.

Children’s Unit – Parents are welcome to visit their child in the Children’s Unit at any time and can also stay overnight if they wish.

Maternity Unit – Visiting hours for fathers are extended to 9pm each night in the Maternity Unit however we request that other friends and family respect the visiting hours as set out
