Clinical Education Team
Given Northern Health Allied Health’s large commitment to student clinical education, there are a number of staff dedicated to allied health clinical education at Northern Health:
Health Service Manager Allied Health Learning and Research This role includes developing staff capacity in research and evidence based practice, as well as fostering excellence in clinical education and staff learning. The Health Service Manager Allied Health Learning and Research has led the development of a unique allied health interdisciplinary graduate program that supports the transition from student to professional; the development and implementation of an Allied Health Supervision Framework; and is a lead contributor to Northern Health's development of a collaborative allied health clinical school – including projects that focus on interprofessional clinical education.
Northern Health Allied Health Clinical Education Support Person The Clinical Education Support Person offers practical, day-to-day support for allied health clinicians and students involved in clinical placements at all Northern Health sites. This support role involves debriefing with clinical educators and student groups; support to individual students; seeking feedback from both clinical educators and students regarding clinical placement experiences; and contributing to staff professional development and learning in regard to allied health clinical education; and contributing to the development and implementation of learning programs for students.
Administration Assistant Allied Health Learning, Research & Executive Support This role provides administrative and project support to the Professor of Allied Health, to Allied Health Learning and Research Unit activities (including the NH AH Clinical School, AH Graduate Program, AH Supervision Course) and members of the Allied Health Executive undertaking other health service wide allied health programs/projects.
